Invertebrates, particularly gastropods (snails and slugs), have always caught my interest. We have barely scratched the surface of Philippine terrestrial gastropod diversity. Little is known of their lifestyle or even their lifespan. I am interested in the evolutionary relationships of over 300 native species under the family Helicostylinae, and the ecological and geological factors that have driven such impressive diversity.
