IB study suggests Philippine fruit bats may be entirely new species of their own based on DNA data

A recent study conducted in the Institute of Biology using mitochondrial DNA barcodes suggests that Philippine fruit bat species may be classified as a species of their own due to their high sequence divergence with specimens found in other Southeast Asian countries. Bio-Innovation and Technopreneurship Launch at the Institute of Biology Vision 2020: Creating a Tapestry of Knowledge and Needs in our Society

2020 Gawad Tsanselor Awards

The Institute of Biology is proud to announce that we have won two Gawad Tsanselor awards for 2020. Mr. Ramon Bandong will be awarded as the Gawad Tsanselor Natatanging Kawani.
